Vape Starter Kits / Pod Kits

A vape starter kit is a complete vaping device designed to be easy to set up and use. Most kits include the device, a pod or tank, and a charging cable (and sometimes a spare coil). Starter kits are a great option for people transitioning from smoking, beginners who want a simple device, or anyone upgrading from disposables to a refillable system.

Compared to disposables, starter kits typically provide better value over time, more consistent flavour, and more control over nicotine strength and airflow.

Starter kits are ideal for new users, light-to-moderate daily users, and anyone who wants convenience without complicated setup. They’re also popular as travel-friendly devices and as dependable backups for experienced vapers.

Battery capacity is measured in mAh (milliamp-hours). Higher mAh typically means longer runtime. However, wattage has the biggest impact on how quickly that battery is used.

Low-watt pod systems (often 10–20W) can last much longer than high-watt devices because they draw less power per puff. Higher wattage (40W, 60W, 80W+) produces more vapour but drains the battery and e-liquid faster.

Mouth-to-lung (MTL) vaping feels closer to a cigarette-style draw (tighter airflow, lower vapour volume). It’s typically done on pod kits at lower wattage and is a common choice for nicotine salts.

Direct-lung (DL) vaping uses more open airflow and higher power for bigger clouds. Cloud chasing is usually done on mod kits with lower-resistance coils and lower nicotine strengths.

Nicotine strength needs to match the power level of your device. Higher nicotine is generally more comfortable at lower wattage, while higher wattage requires lower nicotine for a smoother experience.

If nicotine feels harsh, it often means the device is too powerful for that strength. Many users prefer nicotine salts in pod systems and lower-strength freebase nicotine in higher-power kits.
